New FTF Trailer: ‘Never Let Me Go’
Never Let Me Go is a new film arriving in theaters September 15th starring the dazzling Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

From the acclaimed author of The Remains of the Day and When We Were Orphans , a moving new novel that subtly reimagines our world and time in a haunting story of friendship and love.As a child, Kathy-–now thirty-one years old–-lived at Hailsham, a private school in the scenic English countryside where the children were sheltered from the outside world, brought up to believe that they were special and that their well-being was crucial not only for themselves but for the society they would eventually enter. Kathy had long ago put this idyllic past behind her, but when two of her Hailsham friends come back into her life, she stops resisting the pull of memory.
And so, as her friendship with Ruth is rekindled, and as the feelings that long ago fueled her adolescent crush on Tommy begin to deepen into love, Kathy recalls their years at Hailsham. She describes happy scenes of boys and girls growing up together, unperturbed-–even comforted-–by their isolation….
Looks fantastic, eh?

New FTF: ‘Flipped’
Thanks to a tip from Aiyana, the novel Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen hits theater’s this August. Enjoy viewing the trailer below!

Rob Reiner hasn’t directed a movie since 2007′s “The Bucket List,” but he’ll be back this summer with an adaptation of Wendelin Van Draanen’s novel “Flipped.” The comedy follows a pair of high school pals through the late ’50s and early ’60s, a change from the book, which has a more contemporary setting. Reiner actually wrote the screenplay for this one, something he hasn’t done since the classic 1984 mockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap.” Intrigued? Then check out the trailer below; the movie has an early August limited release and is set to go wide on August 27. (source)--

Tell me why you are or aren’t a Harry Potter fan
With the premiere of the first part of Deathly Hallows only 4 months away (scary, eh?) and in preparation for our first issue of Fans on Fiction Magazine…please leave a comment here explaining (in some detail) why you ARE or AREN’T a Harry Potter fan. In my experience, you either absolutely love Harry Potter or don’t like it at all. All your responses will be featured in our first issue.
Be opinionated, grammatically correct and you will get to see your name in print! Thanks in advance to everyone who participates. For now, enjoy ABC Family’s Deathly Hallows Feature from their Harry Potter weekend. Enjoy!

New FTF: ‘One Day’ by David Nicholls
Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess are gearing up for a new feature film, One Day based on the bestselling novel by David Nicholls.
The star of “Ella Enchanted” and “The Princess Diaries” will appear in the film adaptation of David Nicholls’ popular novel “One Day,” about a working-class woman’s romance with a charming rich man, played by Jim Sturgess.
The movie begins filming this summer. It will be directed by Lone Scherfig, an Oscar nominee for “An Education.”
The project was announced Tuesday by Focus Features and Random House Films, which have a partnership.
“One Day” was a No. 1 best-seller in England. It was released Tuesday as a paperback by Vintage Books, an imprint of Random House, Inc.
Nicholls has written the script for the film, scheduled to come out next year. source
It’s very interesting that the author actually wrote the script as well. It gives the author definite power as to what is kept in the film and what is tossed.

July Site of the Month
I am pleased to announce this month’s Site of the Month. Congratulations to Lion & Lamb Love!

As most of you know, I really am not a Twilight fan. However, I have to admire Tathy’s hard work and dedication (not to mention gorgeous layouts!) to make Lion and Lamb Love a leading Twilight site on the web. Honestly, who can ignore the Twilight-mania that surrounded this month’s premiere of Eclipse? So, congratulations to Tathy and the L&L Love Team! You definitely deserve this recognition!
In addition, FTF’s 1st Birthday arrives in 12 days! Can you believe how fast time goes anymore?
Look for something special happening around here between now and then!

In celebration of Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir hitting the big screen this month, I invite you to indulge in Eat, Pray, Love. "A memoir of self-discovery, Eat, Pray, Love is about what can happen when you claim responsibility for your own contentment. It is also about the adventures that can transpire when a woman stops trying to live in imitation of society's ideals. This is a story certain to touch anyone who has ever woken up to the unrelenting need for change."
